Explanations

This class includes mainly services not attributed to other classes and consisting in the mechanical or chemical treatment or transformation of objects or organic or inorganic substances.

For the purposes of classification, it should be borne in mind that only that type of activity related to the processing or transformation of various items, which is aimed at serving others, should be considered a service. For the same purpose, such processing or transformation of material as a result of which the item or substance acquires a new commercial value should be considered a service.

This Class includes, in particular:

– services for the transformation and any processing of objects or substances, entailing a change in their main characteristics (for example, dyeing clothes), maintenance services, despite the fact that they usually belong to class. 37 will be classified in Cl. 40, in cases where they lead to a change in appearance (for example, chrome plating of car bumpers);

– processing services that can be provided during the receipt of any substances or the manufacture of items (excluding construction sites), for example, services related to cutting, shaping, polishing with abrasive materials or metal coating.

This Class does not include, in particular:
